Clipped-down Pennell

This rig is tied in the same way as the single-hook distance rig, but a second hook is attached above the first hook. When tying this rig, slide a short length of silicone tubing onto the snood followed by a hook, then tie on a second hook. Once the tubing is pushed down over the shank of the top hook it can then be slid along the hook-length to suit the bait size.

The idea behind this rig is to present a sizeable bait with a hook at each end offering a greater chance of hooking a fish. The top hook will also hold the bait in position during the cast, preventing it from sagging down around the lower hook. This is an excellent rig for Cod, Ray and Bass.
