Shakespeare Agility LRF rods
Shakespeare Agility
LRF Rods
What the manufacturer says
In recognition of this fast expanding form of fishing, Shakespeare have introduced two new LRF rods into their highly popular Agility range of saltwater rods.
The 6'9" version
The lightweight, slim blanks feature supple ultra-responsive tip sections for maximum bite detection, but with power then phasing in progressively, designed to feed vital information straight back into the hand. This allows you to literally “feel” the lure over the ground as you seek out where the fish are lying, but also to fully work light lures with the minimum of hand movement.
The 7' version
In lengths of 6’9” casting 0.5 to 7g and 7’ rated to cast 5 to 15g, the Agility LRF rods are ideal for all forms of LRF fishing.
Features
- Slim carbon blank
- Zirconium oxide guides (ZOG)
- Comfortable ergonomically shaped reel seat
- Sensitive built in quiver tip
- Spigot joints

My opinion
Although I haven’t had the opportunity to fish with these rods, I had a good look at them at the Dublin Angling Show this year. In keeping with the entire Agility range from Shakespeare, these rods are extremely good quality, nice action and at ridiculously low prices. If you are thinking about trying out the increasingly popular LRF style, you will not go far wrong with this pair, new on the market for 2015.
